The start of 2015 has seen a number of significant staff changes at DCDP. After 8 years at the practice, Margaret Hodgson has decided to take early semi-retirement and will now solely focus her time at the local Community Dental Services in Matlock and Buxton. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Margaret for all her commitment and tireless dedication she has given to the practice and we are sure patients would like to join us in wishing Margaret the very best for the future.

Catherine Denholm will be replacing Margaret as our new Dental Associate. Catherine qualified at the University of Sheffield in 2004 and, having worked in nearby practices in Sheffield and Chesterfield, she has gained a wealth of experience in all aspects of general dentistry. Catherine has completed a postgraduate course in Advanced Restorative Dentistry and is fully up-to-date with the latest dental techniques and materials.

We have also made several new additions to our team of dental nurses. Chloe Elliott has joined us as our new Trainee Dental Nurse and Joanne Bradbury and Jodie Gregory have both recently returned to the practice. Joanne has successfully completed her Dental Hygiene-Therapy training at Sheffield University Dental School and will be combining her role as a Dental Nurse with helping our existing Dental Hygienists in delivering dental hygiene care. Jodie has spent the last few years working in the Community Dental Services where she has had the opportunity to gain experience in different aspects of dentistry that aren’t commonly encountered in general practice.
