Diamond Court has been part of Bakewell life for more than 100 years — through a world war, a coronation or three, and more Bakewell Shows than anyone can count. Practices don’t last that long by accident. They last because of a simple idea, renewed with every generation of dentists: the best dentistry is the dentistry you never need.

That’s why our focus is firmly on education and prevention — catching problems early, teaching the habits that stop them recurring, and reducing the need for invasive treatment wherever possible. When treatment is needed, we use high-quality materials and current techniques, and we take time to explain every option — benefits, risks, alternatives and exact written costs — so decisions are always yours, made with clear eyes.

A modern practice behind a familiar doorway.

Step inside and the 90-year-old practice vanishes: extensive refurbishment has created a calm, contemporary and fully air-conditioned environment with disabled access throughout, digital imaging, and clinical facilities that let us handle everything from a child’s first check-up to specialist oral surgery — in-house, in Bakewell.

We’re in the town centre with parking close by, an easy journey from Matlock, Buxton, Baslow, Tideswell, Chesterfield and Sheffield — and a familiar port in a storm for Peak District visitors whose holidays are interrupted by a dental emergency.

    Sheffield-qualified and local ever since, she has completed a year-long postgraduate course in Advanced Restorative Dentistry.

    Associate Dentist

    Qualified at Sheffield with a prize for excellence in restorative dentistry, focusing on minimally invasive techniques and prevention.

  • Jamie Denholm

    Dentist & Co-Principal

    Over 20 years in general dentistry, with a particular interest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry — composite bonding, veneers and full mouth rehabilitation.

  • Nicholas Clifford

    Associate Dentist

    Dual qualified in dentistry and medicine, with a clinical interest in endodontics (root canal treatment) and microscope assisted dentistry.

  • Andrew Chalmers

    Associate Dentist

    At the practice since 1992, he draws on wide clinical experience, including oral surgery in a hospital setting and teaching as a Clinical Tutor at the University of Sheffield.

  • Paul Flint

    Dentist & Co-Principal

    Holds a Master's in Restorative Dental Practice, taken with distinction at UCL's Eastman Dental Institute, and accepts restorative referrals from across North Derbyshire.

  • Robert Bolt

    Specialist in Oral Surgery

    Leads our implant service, from single teeth to full-arch implant-retained bridgework, and accepts implant referrals from other practices.
