Natural-looking dentures.

Say “dentures” and most people picture their grandmother’s — too white, too uniform, and swimming in a glass. Forget all of it. A well-made modern denture is designed like a portrait: matched to your face, age and character, with teeth that look convincingly lived-in.

What patients say about the practice

Is it right for you?

If any of these sound familiar…

Dentures suit a wide range of situations — and modern design (and the implant upgrade) has moved them a long way. These are the common ones.

  • Several missing teeth where implants or bridges aren’t right (or not yet)
  • An old denture that’s loose, worn flat, or aged beyond its welcome
  • A partial denture that feels bulky — lightweight chrome may transform it
  • A lower denture that wanders — implant retention can anchor it (see below)

Why our dentures

Designed like a portrait.

A denture done well is matched to your face and approved by you at a try-in before anything is finished — with chrome and implant-retained options for a slimmer, firmer fit.

  • Designed for your face

Tooth shade, shape, arrangement — even deliberate little irregularities that read as natural. You approve the look at a try-in before anything is finished.

  • Eating returns to normal(ish)

A well-fitted denture restores real chewing function; premium and chrome options fit slimmer and firmer still.

  • Chrome: the connoisseur's partial

Cast metal frameworks are thinner, stronger and cooler in the mouth than acrylic, gripping teeth with precision clasps.

  • The implant upgrade

Two to four implants can turn a wandering lower denture into something that clips solidly into place. For long-term denture wearers, it’s genuinely life-changing.

Your journey

Designed, tried, fitted.

The try-in stage is where good dentures are really made — you judge the look before anything is set.

  1. / 04

    The design consultation

We look at your face, your old photos if you have them, and your priorities — natural or noticeably perfect, your call.

  2. / 04

    Records

Precise impressions and bite measurements — the unglamorous step where good dentures are actually made.

  3. / 04

    The try-in

Your denture in wax: see it, wear it, judge it in the mirror. Changes cost nothing at this stage — speak freely.

  4. / 04

    The fit & fine-tuning

Delivery day, then a review to smooth any pressure spots as you break it in.

The honest picture

Straight answers, before you decide.

Dentures ask for a little patience and honesty about what they can and can’t do — especially the lower one.

  • There's a settling-in period

Days to weeks of adaptation, practice and small adjustments (included) come with every new denture.

  • Lower fulls are the honest challenge

Less ridge to grip means less stability. If that’s your situation, implant retention is the transformation worth discussing.

  • They age as your mouth changes

Expect relines every few years and remakes roughly every 5–10 as the shape of your mouth changes.

Dentures at Diamond Court are overseen by co-principal Paul Flint, who earned accolades for his postgraduate work on partial denture design at UCL’s Eastman Dental Institute — chrome partials are a particular interest of his.

That expertise shows in the details: a denture matched to your face, tried in wax before anything is finished, and engineered to fit slimmer and firmer than most people expect.

Making it last

Look after it, and it looks after you.

A denture keeps its fit and finish with a simple daily routine — and regular check-ups even if you have no natural teeth left.

  1. Out at night

Gums need the rest, and it halves fungal problems.

  2. Clean over water

Brush over a towel or basin — dropped dentures are our most common repair.

  3. Brush gums and teeth too

Not just the denture — the mouth beneath it matters.

  4. Keep your check-ups

We check the health of your mouth, not just the fit of the plate.

Good to know

Common questions

Not if we’ve done our job. The try-in stage exists so you control exactly how natural or perfected the result looks.

With practice, most things. Start soft, cut small, chew on both sides. Implant-retained dentures raise the ceiling dramatically — apples and all.

Possibly for a few days — read aloud at home and it settles fast.

Usually, and quickly — repairs and relines are both on our price list. Don’t reach for the superglue; it ruins the repair we could have done.
